It is the time of the year to start thinking about Shoe Boxes.  This is the 26th year for Samaritan’s Purse to collect these boxes, and it is New Zion’s 24th year to pack them.

The display will be set up before October 24th so that you can pick up as many boxes as you can fill.  Hopefully, many of the New Zion family will purchase school supplies or toys and dolls or hygiene items.  Samaritan’s Purse encourages us to pack a “wow!” item.  Remember, no tooth paste or candy.  The requested amount to ship a box to a faraway country is $9.  Boxes will be collected on Sundays, November 10 and 17.

Additionally, the Outreach Team plans to put together boxes.  It would be great if you could donate any items for this, but it is so important that you pack your own boxes, too.

In 2017, 11 million shoe boxes were sent to 114 countries and territories plus 26 hard to reach countries.  Many distribution points also offer classes in “The Greatest Journey.”  This is a follow-up disciple class for Shoe Box recipients.  Through 2018, 14.9 million children had graduated from this program, and 6.9 million children had made a decision for Christ!!!!
